CALCULATORS
MSME delayed payment interest calculator
Under the MSMED Act 2006, if you are a registered MSME and a buyer pays after the appointed day (agreed terms or 45 days, whichever is earlier), interest can run at three times the RBI Bank Rate, compounded monthly. This calculator estimates days overdue and interest for one or more invoices. It is educational, not legal advice, and does not promise recovery.
Rates verified as of 1 Sep 2026
This page is for education only. Kredway does not provide legal advice or representation. Recovery of delayed-payment interest depends on facts, documentation and process — outcomes are not guaranteed.

What to do next
- Confirm Udyam registration and keep the certificate handy.
- File on the MSME Samadhaan portal if you choose that route - check current fees there.
- Keep invoices, delivery/acceptance proof, emails and bank trails.
- Timelines vary by forum and facts. Kredway does not represent you and does not promise recovery.
- Commercial honesty: chasing a large buyer can strain the relationship. Weigh that with your CA before you escalate.
In plain language, MSMED Act s.15 sets the payment window, s.16 the punitive compound interest, s.17 recovery of amount due, and s.18 the reference/conciliation path. Read the Act and take advice for your case.

FAQ
Common questions.
Does this apply if I am not Udyam registered?
Generally you need to be a registered MSME first. Register on Udyam, then revisit invoices and timelines with your CA or counsel.
Can I claim if I already accepted late payment?
Facts matter. Accepting payment does not automatically erase statutory interest in every case - get advice on your documents and correspondence.
What is the buyer's disclosure obligation?
Buyers that are companies have disclosure duties around MSME dues in their financials. That is separate from your right to pursue interest.
Is there a time limit?
Limitation and forum rules apply. Act promptly; Samadhaan and civil routes have their own clocks. This site does not compute limitation periods.
What does Samadhaan cost?
Check the official MSME Samadhaan portal for current filing fees and process. Kredway does not file on your behalf.
