CALCULATORS

Business loan EMI calculator

Enter the loan amount, yearly interest rate and tenure to see your monthly EMI, the total interest you will pay and how each EMI splits between interest and principal. It uses the standard reducing-balance formula that banks and NBFCs use. Fees are not part of the EMI, so compare the APR on the lender's Key Fact Statement too.

Processing fees are not part of the EMI: they are cut from the amount you receive, which raises your real cost. Compare the APR on each lender's Key Fact Statement.

FAQ

Common questions.

How is business loan EMI calculated?

EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r the monthly rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n the number of months. ₹10 lakh at 14% for 3 years gives ₹34,178.

Is the processing fee included in the EMI?

No. It is usually deducted from the amount disbursed. It still adds to your cost, so compare the APR on the Key Fact Statement.

Does my EMI change during the loan?

On a fixed-rate loan, no. On a floating-rate loan it can change when the lender's benchmark changes, or the lender may extend your tenure instead.

Is a longer tenure better?

It lowers the EMI but raises total interest. On ₹10 lakh at 14%, going from 3 to 5 years cuts the EMI by about ₹10,900 but costs ₹1.66 lakh more in interest.
